ABOUT
UDLRABC (Up+Down+Left+Right+ABC) is the Melbourne based, electronic music brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and producer Raoul Ray. Raoul is a British Empire’s son, imagined in India, born and raised in the UK and now growing old in Australia. With this strong cultural diversity and early life exposure to mental illness UDLRABC draws on Raoul's experiences that has inspired a sound that crosses genre boundaries and is uniquely its own.
A keen ear for melody and a love for intricate sound design, UDLRABC takes inspiration from house, garage techno and IDM to create a sound that is emotive and danceable. The tracks are characterised by deep baselines, shimmering synths and hypnotic rhythms that take the listener on a journey through everyday issues on identity, diversity and keeping your shit together in the big, bad world.
